Our visit to…
Iberostar selection cancun
Iberostar Selection Cancun is a 5-star hotel located in Cancun’s Hotel Zone along a big stretch of beach with plenty of chairs, umbrellas and Bali beds. The views from our Ocean View Balcony rooms during our stay in May 2024 were wonderful! The highlight of this resort for my family was the great pools. Everyone was a fan of the convenient swim-up bar in the largest pool, and we loved the great kids pool area complete with child-size water slides. The recreation staff were full of energy and did a great job engaging with guests and inviting them to everything from water aerobics to beach volleyball and inflatable obstacle courses in the pool!

Before our vacation we were most excited to see this amazing pool at the resort!

Cheers to the start of our family vacation!

Private non-stop ground transfers with our partners at Amstar make your arrival and departure a breeze!

We've just arrived and these travelers did not stay weary for long! ;)

There are so many areas of the pool with different things to do. During the day this area was often used for activities like water volleyball.

This poolside bar area was so relaxing.

Chanse couldn't wait for the ice counter (behind him) to open!

We did a full resort walk on our first morning and I love all the beach seating with thatched roof umbrellas!

Heading back from the beach to the pool area.

Sayler was ready to splash away in the kids area!

Graysen and Chanse loved the large pool looking out onto the beach.

The pool never ends!

A resort staff member pointed out this friend to us. Even wildlife likes to sunbathe!

Our family of five had two rooms, including this King Bed Room that also had a pull-out sofa bed.

Our second room had two double beds which was a great set-up for our family.

Stocked in-room mini bar!

The view of the beach from our Ocean View Balcony room! We loved this location and relaxing on the large balcony!

Poolside seating with thatched umbrellas.

Starcafe is open 24 hours! They had great beverages and snacks like pastries, fresh fruit and small sandwiches.

Iberostar is known for their great Kids Club. On this night they hosted a Pirate Party and the club door was all decorated.

A little peek of the outdoor space at Star Camp.

Fun play structure inside Star Camp!

Heading to the pool fully-prepared LOL!

Sayler loved playing in the kids pool area!

Looking down at the resort's large lobby bar.

We enjoyed a wonderful meal at the resort's Italian restaurant, La Horma.

Going to Mexico to dine at the American Bistro felt somewhat ironic, however the food was wonderful!

Sleepy, sleepy traveler.

Our bathrooms were spacious with plenty of counter space.

Lobby bar area.

Views from one balcony to another.

The kids loved playing on the beach!

That time I was looking for Shane and the kids and found them at the swim-up bar..... HAHAHA
